• Awesome Art: Dan Mora was already a well-liked artist through his cover work, but his vibrant work here as lead artist has made him a massive favourite among fans.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: The implication that Superman dumped Supergirl in an orphanage as it happened in The Supergirl From Krypton (1959) was disliked by many fans, as it feels like an extremely callous thing to do someone who has just lost her entire family, people and planet as well as uncharacteristically frivolous for Clark. At least in the on-screen moments both of them are genuinely close and Clark is the Big Brother Mentor figure, so it looks like it was a momentary freak-out reaction on his part and quickly remedied. Helps that this version of Clark looks like he's in his early twenties, and not in any position to take care of a traumatized teenager.
