YMMV / Amphibia S2-E24 "After the Rain"

• Harsher in Hindsight: After discovering that Hop Pop lied about the Calamity Box's whereabouts, a furious Anne asks him if he's trying to keep her in Amphibia forever (of course this is not the case). In "True Colors" it's revealed that this is exactly what Marcy was planning to do all along, in a desperate attempt of not getting separated from her friends.
• He Really Can Act: While Bill Farmer has proven he can be emotional, especially with the character of Hop Pop, this episode really sells how emotional he can be regarding the scene where Hop Pop explains the demise of Sprig and Polly's mom and dad.
• I Knew It!: For months, viewers speculated that Hop Pop would finally tell Anne the truth about him burying the Calamity Box at the end of "Bizarre Bazaar". Their predictions came true.
• Tear Jerker: Many fans agree that this episode has two major ones: when Anne learns that Hop Pop betrayed her, and when Hop Pop reveals what happened to Sprig and Polly's parents. The amazing performances by Brenda Song and Bill Farmer really sell it. Keep in mind that Bill Farmer's other most notable work is Goofy, and this scene becomes even more impressive.
