• Crosses the Line Twice:
  • Stan unsuccessfully trying to "fix" Hayley's face is quite gruesome, but the nonchalant monologue as he does his work is rather amusing in itself, nonetheless.
  • Roger's treatment of Steve (and the other students) in clown training is horrendous to say the least, but Steve's rather exaggerated injuries as a result of it makes it worthwhile anyway.
• Nausea Fuel: Hayley's "plastic surgery" courtesy of Stan, especially when her eyeball pops out.
• Never Live It Down: Despite atoning for his mess at the end of the episode, more than a few fans still don't see Stan in the same light for his actions towards Hayley here.
• Signature Scene: Stan's botched surgery on Hayley's face easily makes this episode infamous for how gruesomely it was depicted.
• The Woobie:
  • Poor Hayley. She not only gets wrongfully blamed for the town mural getting ruined (with Stan refusing to back her up, as he is actually the one responsible), but she gets her face horrifically disfigured as a result of Stan's incompetence.
  • Steve when he has to put up with Roger's horrendously abusive clown training.
