• Harsher in Hindsight: The first part of the fic sees Anna having to stop a magical blizzard happening in Corona. The Tangled: The Series episode "Queen for a Day" also involves Corona getting struck with a magical blizzard.
• Mind Game Ship: Hans/Anna. As the tags on Archive of Our Own say, "Mind Games, played from both sides." Hans manipulates Anna right from the start as he needs an excuse to get out of his house arrest and the blood of another royal to get to the apples; when they get there, he reveals his true intentions in an Evil Gloating session, then offers an apple to her, too, so they could rule together. Then, he manipulates both Anna and Elsa into declaring a war on him. Then, he manipulates Anna while holding her captive, pushing her buttons for kicks and still wanting to rule together with her. Then, Anna manipulates him into falling in love with her and giving up his powers for her.
