Safe as Houses is a webcomic series created by Nosleeparewe about a young woman named Eun Gee that awakens from a coma to discover a zombie outbreak has taken over the island nation she calls home. As the horde closes in, she is rescued by Shuhei, a mysterious zombie slayer with a terrible secret. Eun Gee will need his help to brave the bloodthirsty mobs roaming between her and her younger siblings, who she hopes are still alive on the other side of the island.Safe as Houses contains examples of:
- Cliffhanger: Episode 33 ends with Shuhei trying to leave Eun Gee behind and Eun Gee chasing him to try and stop him.
- The Undead: Shuhei is technically immortal, but there are limits and drawbacks.
- The Big Bad: A mysterious organization attacks Ishtar's squad, it is revealed that the real enemy is the doctor and his test subjects
- Zombie Apocalypse: The story is set in a fictional country that has suddenly had a virus outbreak, rapidly turning it's population into "infected"
