Last Nerds of Earth is a webcomic made by Matt Melvin (who has worked on Cyanide and Happiness) and his girlfriend Austin. It follows the story of two best friends, Oliver and Adam, as they try to survive the zombie apocalypse.
The comic is currently on hiatus.
- Action Girl: Subverted with Annie, she gets a weapon, brandishes it, hits a zombie a few times, gets bitten. Played straight with Zoe.
- Action Prologue: The first chapter is just the two main characters killing zombies and discussing Batman and Superman. The perfect summary.
- Hypocritical Humour: Oliver is sick of zombie apocalypse stories... Just sick of them.
- Wedgie: Played for dark humour. Whilst it looks like Oliver is being hung by Jackson, it is actually a massive wedgie. Ouch.
