Deltarune: Hopeless Experiment
is a Fan Webcomic of Deltarune created by Chumchimmy. After a pair of students discover a dark world in a school classroom, they are sucked into a strange world of magic and darkness... just not the one you're thinking of.
Hopeless Experiment contains examples of:
- Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: In canon, the nature of Seam and Jevil's relationship is vague, with Seam only alluding to him and Jevil being partners of some kind. In Hopeless Experiment, they're a couple.
- Adaptational Species Change: Spamton is a Lightner in this world, and Undyne is a darkner.
- Downer Beginning: The prologue of the comic opens right away with Ralsei dying of some sort of glitchy infection, and Kris abandoning him to his fate as he screams out to help.
- Original Generation: Deedee is the only member of the cast who isn't part of the original story of Deltarune
- Role Swap AU: The roles of Kris, Susie and Ralsei are taken by an Original Generation character, Spamton and Jevil respectively
