Kusogrande is a video game tournament hosted by Brossentia where people are tasked with playing an old So Bad, It's Good video game for 1 hour, without any prior knowledge on the game, being awarded points on how far they get within the hour.

Tropes that apply to Kusogrande:

  • A Rare Sentence: The commentators usually remark on how weird their sentences pertaining to the game sound.
  • And Now for Someone Completely Different: Different matches star completely different players, there's several days or weeks of a break before the same players get another time in the spotlight.
  • Brought to You by the Letter "S": Matches are played in groups, which are alphabetically named.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Earlier Kusogrande tournaments had no group stages, and went straight to the tournament bracket. Also, Brossentia himself was never a part of the tournament until the third season, instead opting to play one of the games played during the bracket on stream himself.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: The commentators occasionally resort to making bad puns about someone's current game standing to pass the time over the course of the hour, expect other commentators or the chat to react with a groan or annoyance.
  • Nuclear Option: At times, the game masters give games that are the worst of the worst. There's no knowing when these will show up, but players vetoing choices increases the likelihood of a nuke being dropped.

Tropes that apply to games played in Kusogrande:

  • All There in the Manual: Important trivia, such as how to beat certain puzzles may be included in the manual. Of course the person distributing the game can choose not to give the manual to the players. The races are blind afterall.
  • Boss in Mook's Clothing: Some games are particularly cruel about what constitutes as a boss, or what constitutes as a normal enemy.
  • Caps Lock: Various games omit the lower case letters entirely.
  • From Bad to Worse: Players may experience and barely beat a difficult section of a game, only to be greeted with a level that is excruciatingly worse.
  • Guide Dang It!: Some parts of the game is borderline impossible without the manual, and knowing that the Game Masters don't always give it out...
  • So Bad, It's Good: The quality of the games that are played.
