The English language's history in the film's setting has been inverted
With how Elizabethian/Early Modern English is being spoken in relatively modern times, it logically stands that in the setting of the film, Early Modern English there would sound like modern english. Thus, this gives the idea of Shakespeare's plays having plain-sounding dialogue to it.
