Carole Baskin did not feed her husband to her tigers.
From the sound of it, her husband wasn't exactly a saint; he'd been cheating on his first wife with countless mistresses before meeting Carol, and his "trips" to Costa Rica probably weren't for something legitimate. In short, he comes off as being sketchy as balls. So it's not a stretch that his shady business dealings in Costa Rica and whatnot would result in him getting himself killed by drug lords or the Mafia, and that his widow would not feel the need to lose much sleep over it. Since Carol's no saint herself (if for nothing else, being a homewrecker), it's easy to imagine why Don's children and ex-wife would want to implicate her publicly, just to harm her career and image, even if they don't truly think she did it.

Carole Baskin totally fed her husband to her tigers.
The documentary, and several interviews with involved individuals that can be found on YouTube, lay out the details.

Carole Baskin didn't kill her husband, but still has something to hide.
She didn't kill him, or arrange for him to be killed, but she still has something to hide. He died of a drug overdose; was killed by drug lords or mobsters that the couple got tangled up in; eaten by an illegally purchased tiger, etc. She's not acting suspicious because she directly caused or planned his death, but because his death would reveal something else that could get her into some heavy doo-doo.

Depending on the above options, she still may have fed him to the tigers, to cover up the drug use or illicit exotic animal handling.
