The film ends with the protagonist collapsing from an injury he got from Baba. Baba was the man who was responsible for the massacre at the protagonist's village as well as the death of his mother years ago, and the protagonist got his revenge and killed him before he fell to the ground. However, there is still a chance he somehow survived his injury and could live to see another day. Kid's fate was intentionally left ambiguous as a possible Sequel Hook - depending on whether a sequel happens.
