The theory goes like this: it’s fake fur, or rather known as faux fur. When Faust designed her doll, she specifically mentioned using a material known as faux fur, to coincide with her love for animals. This means that Faust likely didn’t intend for Mars to wear animal fur, and canonically just wears fake fur, or possibly a new furry substance found in another planet or galaxy.

Faust tends to recycle personalities each time she creates a group of female characters, particularly teenage girls. This is also worth noting considering the fact that the DC Super Hero Girls (2019) characters took the personalities AGAIN, having examples such as Batgirl being energetic similar to Mars and Pinkie and Supergirl being a tough tomboy similar to Mercury and Rainbow Dash. So yeah, it’s just the repeated thought process.
On one of the Solar Sisterhood Blog articles, this one here, has Jupiter talking about Daijuna Corin, who works at a bakery called Vela Delight that “specializes in cookies, candies, pastry, cupcakes, and even more cupcakes- oh my!” What really caught Jupiter’s mind was the fact they also come in vegan, and “both ying and yang will be happy tonight”.

While yes, they do look and resemble humans of many races and colors, there’s one that stands out: Mars. Unlike the other girls, she has green skin and antennae on top of her head, made to resemble an alien. Completed with the statement, “Mars is from another planet!”
Not just that, but the girls reside in outer space without the need of oxygen, and as previously stated they avoid Earth due to its life. So what does that suggest? The other girls are aliens too!
How do they reproduce? Likely similar to humans, that is if they ever do. It’s apparent that they have navels, which is a mark used to indicate that your umbilical cord was once attached there. So does that suggest the Galaxy Girls have biological parents? If Milky and Andromeda are sisters, then that could be a yes.
