Lysander will discover something truly horrible about the Society.
  • Confirmed, although it's not the Society in general so much as the fact that his grandmother was responsible for his parents deaths, then altered and/or erased his memories of them in order to mold him into the heir she wanted.
The identity of Tongueless
  • Although unlikely to be confirmed due to his abrupt death in the prologue of Dark Age, Pierce revealed in a 2023 interview that Tongueless had originally been planned to be revealed as one of the leaders of the Syndicate. Iron Gold mentions the existence of a Duke of Tongues and indicates that each Duke in the Syndicate is named for the body part they cut off when they kill or torture someone. So perhaps somebody gave the Duke of Tongues A Taste Of His Own Medicine.
In Book 3, Sevro, Pebble, and Clown will be Brainwashed and Crazy.
  • By the end of Dark Age, the last three of the original Howlers are in the hands of The Jackal's clone, who has promised to play with Sevro's mind and erase his mind to the point where he won't even know who his wife and children are anymore when he sees them again.
    • Jossed for Sevro, but Clown and Pebble are still on the table.
There will be a new POV character introduced in the third book
Possible candidates:
  • Sevro, in order to keep track of what's happening on Luna amidst the Bonerider's takeover of the government.
  • Cassius.
  • The Jackal. Clone Adrius showed signs of Clone Angst in Dark Age, and having a duplicate of Adrius wrestle with whether to carry out his original self's plans and ideas would be much more interesting and compelling than just having The Jackal as another arch villain.
  • Jossed. Darrow, Lysander, Lyria, and Virginia are the only POV characters in Light Bringer.
