Mariam will become the new bully in Season 2
Her revenge plot shows that she now has no qualms leaking a hijab-free photo of Ruqayya and completely uprooting her social life, snitching on Rania and causing her to be beaten by her abusive father and exposing Layan's secret to her abusive brother, all things eerily similar to what Layan did to her in the first episodes of the season (falsely accusing Mariam of assaulting her, stealing and leaking her journal entries about her mental health, which caused her to be ostracized and shamed by her mother) Note that she even begins to style her hair in the same manner as Layan in the season's final epsiode, and goes on to take her place as head girl.- Jossed: The girls from Season 1 have all graduated by the time Season 2 takes place, and Mariam is shown to be genuinely guilty for indirectly causing Layan's death.
Layan is of Royal Blood
In S1 E6, we see her dad on the phone with someone. He refers to the person on the other end as "your highness". At first I thought it was a joke, but I looked it up and apparently Jordan is actually ruled by a King. The fact that Layan's family has ties to the Jordanian Royal Family (and are so close the King has her dad's personal phone number) makes me wonder if that's why the Principal was so lenient on her and wanted their approval. It could also explain why Hazem was driven to murder Layan in the finale - she didn't just desecrate their honour, but the honour of the royal family as well.
