Some of the stuff on the classroom whiteboards is leftover from the real between-scenes lessons.
In some cases you'll see very long stretches of time given to a subject, which could mean that only 10 minutes or so (a fixed amount of time everyone on set would know) is given to the lesson and the rest until the next lesson filming scenes. And specifically in S1 E4 "New Tech", Janine's Philly slang sight words could've been a Sure, Why Not? written from a setup to teach Philly slang words to the L.A. kids. Season 3
Possible Plot Ideas on Season 3
The third season of Abbott Elementary was just announced this year, and since it is likely going to premiere until the beginning of fall in September, there are possibilities of what could happen.- Tina returning back to Abbott, to make amends for her actions.
- Ava and Melissa’s Interactions with each other.
- Melissa and Kristin sister bonding together.
- Janine and Ayesha bonding with each other.
- A Possible Love Interest of Janine may prevent her from getting together with Gregory.
- A possible Arc Villain who wants to separate Janine and Gregory.
- Barbara and Melissa
- A story arc about the teachers striking.
- Gregory becomes assistant principal
- We learn more about the principal before Ava, possibly more about the school in general
- It's possible we may get a history lesson as one of the episodes is named "Willard R. Abbott".
Alex is going to have a Very Special Episode
- Alex is revealed to be one of Janine's new students, is the only one who waves and remembers her even while she's away and has an episode named after. Something big is going to happen to the boy. And considering how this show isn't shy about showing how school kids can suffer, Alex is going to be revealed to have some serious issues that Janine will need to deal with.
Manny will be a Love Interest Rival
- Manny is introduced encouraging Janine to take on the new administrator job and later helps her with her Career Day. And with her and Gregory still unsure of how they should process their feelings for one another, Janine may flock to the new guy for potential relationship drama.
There is a chance Janine will stay with the district
- While it's explicitly stated the gig with the district is just for part of the school year, if the audience reacts positively to her storylines with the district, she may permanently join them, albeit still somehow within a main character capacity in the show.
