Along Came Treble is a music-themed book and one of the many stories under the Choices: Stories You Play collection. It was released on March 27, 2024 on VIP early access and will be released in May 2024 for everyone. It centers on an intern managing a rebellious musician at a notorious record label.
Along Came Treble include examples of:
- Character Customization: As per usual, both the main character and the love interest are customizable, though only the love interest's gender can be customized.
- Content Warnings: As is usually the case for Choices books with a 17+ rating, the book opens with a warning about mature sexual content.
- Hello, [Insert Name Here]: As with all Choices characters, you can choose your name. The default name is Estrella Villanueva. You can choose the love interest's first name, the default being Cai, although his/her last name Kennedy can't be changed.
- Musical Theme Naming: Each chapter is named after a song.
- Pun-Based Title: On "along came trouble".
- Rebellious Spirit: Cai is a well-known rebel who has put their position at Infinity Records in jeopardy because of their behavior.
- Recycled Premise: The book's premise has some similarities to Hot Shot, such as the main character has to help a hot-headed celebrity keep their temper under control and improve their public image.
