Fire Emblem: Eckesachs is a ROM hack of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade created by Saint Rubenio. It's a hack based around the idea of recruiting and playing as all sorts of villains in the series, including a rewritten narrative to fit the tone.

The army is led by Zephiel, the plot is built around him and his men making a decisive move that alters the course of the story and the war as a whole. His army is filled to the brim with bosses ranging from major to one-off foes as they battle against numerous characters that stand in their way. Most of these enemies are the formerly playable characters of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade as they try to oppose Zephiel's efforts to conquer all of Elibe.

Tropes in Fire Emblem Eckesachs:

  • Adapted Out: Astolfo, Cath, Dorothy, Juno, Ogier, Raigh and Zelot don't appear in the story in any way.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: The entire concept of this hack is centered around the possibility of Zephiel getting a triumphant victory over the Binding Blade roster, creating notably tragic outcomes as a result.
