My name is Luke. I am a 17 year old film student from the north-west of England. For a brief physical description, I'm 6 foot 2, far too slim for anyone's good, pale with dark hair and huge bags under my eyes, and I dress like a hipster. While I dislike self-descriptions, sometimes they're necessary (even if a bit biased): I'm rather cynical and sarcastic, but in a somewhat cheery way. I'll make fun of something mercilessly, but I'll have a smile on my face when I do it. I've been described as funny and clever by people who are quite obviously wrong.
I'm a fan of quite a lot of things, especially films (it's par for the course when you're a student of it). Some of my favourite films include Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, Inception and Kikis Delivery Service. I'm not usually one for watching television, but when I do, I stick to comedies; some of my favourite shows are QI, Mock The Week, Not Going Out, Scrubs and How I Met Your Mother. I'm a keen gamer too: Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Amnesia The Dark Descent, League Of Legends and Killing Floor are ones I play often. As for music, my favourite bands are Ludo, Death Cab For Cutie, The Postal Service, Radiohead and Modest Mouse. I'm also quite into electroswing.
As for internetty things, I've been a lurking Troper for a long time now. While I'm not exactly known around the site, and I don't make a lot of edits, I know this site far too well. I've got a fair few subscribers on Youtube and followers on Tumblr, too: I'm a big fan of Homestuck and I voice act for it. I really enjoy voice acting, and while I know I probably won't have a career in it (all the dubbing companies are American, and even then they're uncommon and difficult to get into), that doesn't stop me from enjoying it.
