Trivia / Zeliard

• Dueling Games: Zeliard and Zelda II are suspiciously similar games that came out in the same year. Both are primarily platformers with RPG elements, with interspersed towns and some very similar NPC designs, not to mention both starting with "Zel" (as well as sharing a "d" and an "a"). Made all the more obvious because Zelda II's gameplay was a departure from its predecessor, making it the Oddball in the Series, although it is still significantly more well known. Whether or not these similarities were intentional may be lost to time.
