- Distanced from Current Events: "Hana No Image" was already completed and ready for release when Yukiko Okada committed suicide by jumping off a building. Due to the tragic news, Pony Canyon decided to temporarily shelve "Hana No Image" in order to prevent further suicides. The song would later get released in a compilation album 13 years after Okada's death.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Kinjirareta Mariko, a 12 episode drama starring Yukiko in her sole acting credit has never been released on any form of home media. Likely as it also starred the aforementioned Toru Mineshige, which many believe ultimately led to the circumstances behind her death.
- One-Hit Wonder: Unfortunately justified because her life was unexpectedly cut short... She's actually had hits in the top ten but her only real number one hit so far was "Kuchibiru Network". It's also a song written by Seiko Matsuda, giving it a bit of irony due to the fact that she was considered a rival at the time. More ironic is that this was also her very last single, not counting the posthumous releases.
