• Development Gag: The Wasp is a member of the Avengers here; an early version of The Avengers (2012) had her in the team.
• Spoiled by the Cast List: Wanda being Peggy's kidnapper in the stinger could have been a plot twist, had her involvement not being spoiled by having Elizabeth Olsen in the opening credits, and the fact Wanda didn't show up, nor being mentioned in the entire episode.
• Word of God: The differences between Captain Carter's universe and the Sacred Timeline, according to A.C. Bradley's Twitter:
  • Captain Carter's role in ending World War II kickstarted the feminist movement twenty years in advance, leading to a ripple effect of women being promoted into positions of higher authority (S.H.I.E.L.D., the S.T.R.I.K.E. Team, the Red Room, etc.).
  • Hank Pym, Janet van Dyne, "Bucky" Barnes and Howard Stark founded S.H.I.E.L.D. in Peggy's absence, leading Hope to become the Wasp years earlier. This also led Howard to live past 1991 (with Howard himself being a better parent to Tony), and Bucky becoming a "Jimmy Carter-esque elder statesman".
