Trivia / Weird school rules in Hong Kong

  • Acting for Two/The Danza: Most of the characters are named after their actors regardless of the skit. So, for instance, you'll have "Fat Tom" the participant of an inter-tutoring centre debate (Episodes 7-8), "Fat Tom" the student at a boys' school (Episode 3), "Fat Tom" the student at a boarding school (Episode 17), etc.
  • Series Hiatus: While the gaps between the episodes vary in length, the most significant one occurs between September 2019 and October 2021, where Episodes 20 and 21 had over two years between them in terms of date of release. According to the host of Episode 21, Una, it's because production was affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • Technology Marches On: Downplayed so far. In an Episode 6 skit, the teacher announces a ban on bringing "expensive mobile phones" to school. The students then bemoan that they are using iPhone 7 or 7+ models and had to use Mainland brands like Huawei or Xiaomi, and another remarks that his phone was an even more old-fashioned and cheap Nokia brick. The narrator then steps in and asks what the main issue with the students was, giving three seconds for the audience to answer. It turns out that the narrator's issue with the students was that all of their phones were way out of date, since the latest model was... an iPhone 10. The episode was released in 2017, only a couple of months after the launch of the iPhone 10, but we're models ahead of that by now.
