• Ascended Extra: Ebenezer Nezzer goes from having a brief cameo at the end of The Star Of Christmas to becoming the main character.
• The Cast Show Off: Rebecca St. James gets to sing as Hope.
• Cross-Dressing Voices: Grandmother Nezzer is voiced by Tim Hodge, one of the producers at Big Idea.
• Demoted to Extra: Downplayed with Cavis and Milward. They were two of the three main characters in The Star of Christmas. While they still have an important role in the sequel, they are more supporting characters in favor of focusing more on Nezzer and his redemption story.
  • Played straight with Seymour who was one of the main characters alongside Cavis and Milward in the first film but only appears for one brief scene in An Easter Carol.
  • Charlie Pincher didn't have a main role in The Star of Christmas but he did play an important role in teaching Cavis what love means. In the sequel though he only appears briefly in an alternate Easter future scenario as a generic crook.
• Dueling Works: With Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo, another Easter-set take on A Christmas Carol
• What Could Have Been: As evidenced by concept art, Charlie Pincher's role in this show was originally meant to be played by Scallion #3.
