• Fake Russian: Cougar MacDowall, the VA of Tabi, is a Canadian-American doing a Russian accent.
• Fanwork Ban: In light of drama surrounding the devs of A.G.O.T.I.'s mod (more details on the trivia page there), Homskiy had declared Tabi and A.G.O.T.I. were no longer best friends and requested that they're not to be drawn together, however, after the fire cleared out, the decision was eventually reversed.
• Referenced by...: The Dragon's Pizzeria, part of the extended universe for HoloFunk, briefly mentions Tabi as part of a band Girlfriend used to run, also implying the background stories of both mods were running simultaneously.
• Queer Character, Queer Actor: Bisexual Tabi is voiced by pansexual Cougar MacDowall.
• Word of Gay: In a reply to a question on Twitter, the creator confirmed that Tabi is some form of LGBTQ, and he was later definitely stated to be bisexual on Homskiy's Discord server.
• Why the Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: Thanks to Sock.clip's departure from the FNF community due to the controversy that surrounded this mod and Vs Whitty, Sock.clip has decided to cancel the Whitty mod, with Homskiy reconsidering about staying within the Friday Night Funkin' fandom after the harassment. Though this didn't end in the mod's cancellation, it's still an upsetting turn of events. On September 9th, some time after Homskiy released the teaser trailer for the Love Week update on YouTube, he announced he would be leaving the community for good and even deactivated his Twitter account and deleted the rest of the videos on his channel, handing the mod and the upcoming update over to Tenzubushi, the mod's music composer. The reason why he left the community because he couldn't handle all the drama going on and didn't want to be part of it anymore for the sake of his mental health. As a result, Tenzubushi will be the one deciding Tabi's fate and story from this point on.
  • On September 15th, Homskiy reactivated his Twitter account, and Tenzubushi cleared up recent events in this thread, and clarifying that the mod will continue, making a subversion of this trope.
