• Doing It for the Art: TV Asahi agreed to produce 24 episodes of the show instead of the typical 12/13 episodes most Japanese TV stations produce nowadays to reflect on the number of episodes Fox produced from the first season. This was based on the agreement the companies made to allow the Japanese version to be produced.
• Playing Against Type: Raita Ryu, known for playing Detective Makoto "Gori-san" Ishizuka from Taiyo ni Hoero, plays Japanese terrorist Victor Hayashi.
