- Archive Panic: Between at least seven editions, official setting books and adventures, the Journal of the Travellers' Aid Society/Challenge Magazine, and many, many licensed third-party supplements, it's estimated that there are over two thousand officially published releases for Traveller. And this doesn't include fanzines and other unlicensed content.
- Follow the Leader:
- Most of Traveller's roots are in the Science Fiction literature of the '60s and '70s, but its initial success might have something to do with it coming out right after Star Wars was released.
- The publishing format of the original Traveller also is the same as the original version of Dungeons & Dragons - three pamphlet-sized booklets in a box, with no dice or extras. The three books in the two games even have similar names - Men & Magic in D&D was Characters & Combat in Traveller, Monsters & Treasure was 'Starships, and The Underworld & Wilderness Adventures was Worlds and Adventures. Whereas D&D had a white box, Traveller's box was black.
