Trivia / Touhou Reiiden ~ Highly Responsive to Prayers

Go To

  • Cut Song: Shrine of the Wind, which can still be heard in the music room. Some fan patches implement it as the staff roll theme (in the unpatched game, the staff roll simply reuses the Stage 6-9 theme from the Makai route).
  • Dummied Out:
    • Originally, the player was going to be able to adjust the starting amount of bombs, but this feature was cut from the finished game. It's still possible to set the starting amount of bombs directly from the config file by using a hex editor.
    • YuugenMagan has some unused behavior:
      • During their opening attack, three of the eyes shoot out aimed 5-way spreads of bullets as they close on Hard mode. The two remaining eyes are coded to do so as well on Lunatic, but the entire subpattern is coded to only trigger on Hard mode, so this never happens. All five eyes fire bullets after they close on Lunatic, though, which preserves the intended behavior to an extent.
      • During the phase where the two outermost eyes fire in a downwards arc, every second rep is coded to have the bullets bounce off the top of the playing field if they hit it. However, this will never occur under normal circumstances, since they're also limited to a 162-degree downwards arc.
  • The Shelf of Movie Languishment: ZUN made this game in 1995 as a study project, but didn't release it until 1997, simultaneously with the second game.
