- Colbert Bump: A lot of people heard about this bootleg thanks to JonTron's video on it ; others learned of it from Awesome Games Done Quick 2018.
- Dummied Out: All cutscenes are disabled in the Super New Year and Z-Dog versions and you have to input the GEXEYXGK (intro) and ITKATAAT (the rest) Game Genie codes to re-enable them; even the title screen on the main page is dummied out!
- The Shelf of Movie Languishment: As mentioned on the main page, the game was finished as early as 1998, but didn't see a widespread (cut-down) release until 2005.
- Swan Song: Hummer Team's very last game.
- What Could Have Been:
- There was meant to be a 2-player mode, as it's possible through hacking to spawn a "second player" (appearing as either Jack, Rose, a green waitress, a purple sailor, and even the final boss).
- There was also meant to be a save system; it's still partially functional, as the code PEUUVGAA will re-enable it when pressing Start, but progression will be lost when the console is turned off.
- Working Title: Uncompiled source code in the Super New Year cart indicates it actually was simply called Titanic earlier in development.
