• Development Hell: The fifth book in the series ( A Nest for Nightmares or A Method for Madness or whatever it might actually be called) has been promised by Gerrold and undelivered for decades. In fairness, it's not like Gerrold has done nothing in all these years, as he has written other books and raised a family, but nonetheless, this trope is where the Chtorr series currently is.
