- Career Resurrection: Rachel Shenton had been a regular on Hollyoaks for years and chose to leave to pursue other projects, only to find British casting directors refusing to even see her and dismissing her as "just a soap actress". A trip to America and chance audition for Switched at Birth led to her coming up with this film, and eventually winning an Oscar for it.
