Trivia / The Babaloos

Go To

  • Alternative Foreign Theme Song: The show received one when it was dubbed in Sinhala. Humorously, while the original theme song is only 30 seconds long, the Sinhala one is a full two minutes, pushing the length of each episode from five minutes up to seven.
  • Barely-Changed Dub Name:
    • The series itself received one, as the spelling of the name was changed from “Babalous” in the original French to “Babaloos” in English, German, and possibly a few other dubs as well.
    • Most translations of the show directly translate the A Dog Named "Dog" naming scheme, leaving characters with names that sound different but mean the same thing.
  • International Coproduction: The show was produced as a collaboration between the Canadian Cookie Jar Entertainment and French Moonscoop.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: While the show did receive a physical release, it’s both incomplete and incredibly hard to come by, and only a scant few episodes of the series (most of them in various obscure foreign dubs) can be found online.
  • Unspecified Role Credit: Voice actors are simply credited as a long list under the heading “Voice Actors”, with no indication as to who voiced who. Dubs of the show also have a tendency to not change the credits, leaving the voices in various foreign dubs even harder to figure out.
