- Dummied Out: There is a secret level that can be accessed from the third overworld by locating a hidden (invisible) warp pipe behind Gamble Game Gallery. The level actually is complete and has one star, but collecting it will not add to the player's total.
- Old Shame: Downplayed. While Kaze himself is still proud of the work, in his Developer's Commentary Playthrough, he is somewhat critical of a few of the decisions he made while making the game, acknowledging that he could've made a lot of things better. Additionally, DotStarMoney, one of the music composers, dislikes the versions of Melty Molten Mountains that ended up in the game, due to being inexperienced with Mario 64's music system.
- Screwed by the Lawyers: The game has gotten much more difficult to acquire thanks to Nintendo DMCA'ing it.
