- Box Office Bomb: Unlike it's predecessor God's Army, which got just over $2.6 million with a low budget, States of Grace flopped. With a budget of $800,000 it only earned $203,144 at the box office.
- Channel Hop: While the first God's Army film was distributed by Excel Entertainment, this sequel was released by Main Street Movie Co. (which Richard Dutcher formed) as Excel temporarily went out of theatrical distribution at the time.
