• Real Life Writes the Plot: Colonel Ellis and the Apollo were created as a workaround for Mitch Pileggi being unavailable due to scheduling commitments to Day Break and The Batman (and also understandably not wanting to kill off Caldwell's character). Pileggi would not be available to reprise the role of Caldwell until mid-Season Four.
• Recycled Set: The Apollo Bridge is a redress of the Daedalus Bridge set with minor cosmetic differences (the lighting on the rear display map being white rather than green).
• The Danza: The Technician played by Chuck Campbell first name is finally revealed to be... Chuck.
  • This was actually due to Tori Higginson accidentally calling the unnamed character by the actor's name during the take. Having no official name for the Technician, the writers decided to just let it stick.
  • Interestingly, the fandom had already been calling him Chuck ever since he turned into an Ensemble Dark Horse sometime the previous season, making this an unintended example of Ascended Fanon.
