• Deleted Scene: Jake accidentally walking in on his father and Kasidy Yates, while they were in bed together. As the actors and LeVar Burton considered that too disrespectful, they did the scene without the involvement of Jake. However, the scene was thereafter edited out of the episode, to avoid its running time being too long.
  Penny Johnson: We were all very disappointed about that because of the thought and consideration that went into putting it together.
• Throw It In!: Dukat and Kira going full ROFL during the "thorn in the butt" scene came about because Nana Visitor and Marc Alaimo found the situation endlessly hilarious. Their genuine laughter ended up in the final cut because they managed not to break character.
• You Look Familiar: Razka is played by Roy Brocksmith, who previously played Kolrami the arrogant Zakdorn in The Next Generation episode "Peak Performance."
