• Died During Production: Lynn Strait died right when the band was in the middle of recording their second album. Strait only managed to fully record vocals for two songs, "Absent" and "Choose What?", both of which would appear on later compilations, though some of the finished instrumentations would get reused on the Strait Up tribute album.
• In Memoriam: Strait Up was recorded and released in memory of Lynn Strait. When the band reunited in 2008, they included a dedication to Strait on their website.
