• Corpsing: Jerry Seinfeld kept smirking throughout the parts where Bookman goes on tirades about the library. It's justified in-story by having Bookman notice that Jerry is laughing at him.
• First Appearance: Mr. Lippman, the boss at Pendant Publishing and a frequent associate of Elaine, though here, he's played by a different actor, mentioned below.
• The Other Darrin: Mr. Lippman in this episode played by Harris Shore. Later appearances of the character have him played by Richard Fancy.
• Star-Making Role: Philip Baker Hall said that Mr. Bookman was one of the last parts he had to audition for, because after his success in the episode, he was flooded with offers.
