  • Creator's Favorite Episode: In a video interview with Rolling Stone conducted in April of 2021, Michael Stipe listed Reveal as his personal favorite R.E.M. album, later stating that it was tied with his prior favorite record, New Adventures in Hi-Fi.
  • Cut Song: The tracks "Fascinating" and "Free Form Jazz Jam" were included on advance copies of the album, only to be taken off from the final release.
  • Limited Special Collector's Ultimate Edition: Once again, the band expresses their fondness for this trope, but this time in two ways:
    • The limited edition CD comes packaged in an 8 x 8-inch cardboard sleeve, containing a 40-page, full-color art book (with some pages being die-cut) containing both the song lyrics and accompanying artwork. The CD itself is packaged in a translucent yellow envelope.
    • The album was also redone in a special 5.1-channel surround sound mix and released as a standalone DVD-Audio release in 2002, as well as a CD+DVD combo-pack three years after that (along with every other album in the band's Warner Bros catalogue up to that point), with the DVD including both a half-hour documentary on the making on the album and the music video for "I'll Take the Rain" as bonus content. Unfortunately, the DVD-A version also includes a mastering error on "The Lifting", which is also present on the iTunes, Apple Music, and HDtracks releases of the album, as they all use the same 5.1 surround sound DVD-A mix.
  • Working Title: Advance copies originally listed "All the Way to Reno (You're Gonna Be a Star)" and "Beat a Drum" under the respective names "Reno" and "All I Want".
