Trivia / RWBY V9 E8 "Tea Amidst Terrible Trouble"

• In Memoriam: This episode is dedicated to Torchwick's actor Billy Kametz, who succumbed to colon cancer in June 2022. His passing was what caused the delays in the dubbing for RWBY: Ice Queendom as he was set to take over as Torchwick.
• The Other Darrin: Both Billy Kametz and Christopher Wehkamp voice Torchwick here, some lines being voiced by one and then the other. They take over from Gray G. Haddock, who previously voiced the character in the first three volumes.
• Reality Subtext: Billy Kametz as Torchwick. The fact that instead of re-recording all of his lines with Chris, Rooster Teeth chose to keep in the ones Billy managed to record. This is quite possibly Billy's last voice performance, and it's for a major deceased character all the way back in Volume 3.
• Two Voices, One Character: Torchwick has two voices in this episode, switching back and forth as a result of Billy Kametz's pre-recorded lines and Christopher Wehkamp filling in for what Billy was unable to record prior to his death. Though this does end up working in favor of the scene due to it emphasizing the fact that the Torchwick in the episode is just an illusion.
