• Approval of God: The Coles helped the creators of the fan remake with sorting out the file structure of the character transfer.
• Creator Backlash: Corey Cole stated in an interview that because Trial by Fire was Sierra's last SCI0 game with EGA graphics, the game used processes meant for VGA games like King's Quest V. Because of this, the game's budget ballooned and Cole had to work on certain tasks multiple times. He then admitted that he wished the game was delayed so they could use the newest SCI engine and have VGA graphics.
• Feelies: The game came with a nice watercolor-looking map of Shapeir.
