• Awesome, Dear Boy: According to this interview, Chris O'Dowd reveals one of his reasons for accepting the role of narrator in the show is due to puffins being one of his favorite birds. He's also a big fan of Cartoon Saloon's works.
• Cross-Dressing Voice: Baba is voiced by Sally Mcdaid.
• Non-Singing Voice: Mama Puffin's speaking voice is Geraldine Cole, and her singing voice is Denise Donaghy.
• What Could Have Been: An earlier teaser shows a very different Puffin Rock to what we know. The characters are drawn with a slightly darker hue and are much more simplified and cartoony. Oona, who was originally named Pip, also has short flipper-like wings and orange eyes instead of blue ones.
