  • Acting for Two: John Uriens Cruz voices every character in the series.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Because this series had three early iterations (see What Could Have Been) and the creator wasn't proud of his early series, good luck finding episodes of Project Kroozie on YouTube, as they have since been deleted in 2019 (including the channel where it was hosted). Thankfully, you can still find all Season 1 episodes of The Kroozie-way Jays as well as some of the later episodes from said series released in 2018-19 from a subscriber's list of playlists. The thirteen episodes of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: The Opposite Storyline on the channel where Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: The Unexpected Arrival is hosted.
  • Meaningful Release Date: There were two episodes released on specific days.
    • "Kroohu and the Unexpected Arrival" was released on January 1, 2023 (New Year's Day 2023) as evidenced by the series trailer, precisely two weeks before the actual release of the series.
    • "Kroohu and the Partner Pokémon" premiered onto YouTube on February 27, 2023 to coincide with National Pokémon Day. What is even more interesting to know about is that said episode was released 27 years after the Japanese release of Pokémon: Red, Blue and Yellow.
  • Throw It In!: The entire series is entirely unscripted.
  • What Could Have Been: PMD: The Unexpected Arrival wasn't the first web animation series John Cruz has made. In fact, he made three early iterations of this series:
    • The Kroozie-way Jays (2017-19)
    • Project Kroozie (2019)
    • Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: The Opposite Storyline (2020-22)
