• Banned Episode: The original version of Scum was banned by The BBC due to its content, so it was remade as a film. The television version wasn't shown until 1991.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Good luck finding any of less well-known episodes on DVD.
• Trans Character, Cis Actor: The episode 'Even Solomon' casts cis actor Paul Henley as Susan Piper, a trans woman.
• Underage Casting: In "Bar Mitzvah Boy", the boy's grandfather is played by Cyril Shaps, who was only in his mid-fifties at the time, and actually a few years younger than Bernard Spear, who played the boy's father.
