  • Creator Backlash: SCKR released a statement right as the game was delisted on September 7, 2023, that they had "made a lot of mistakes" with the game and wanted to put it behind them, as it was causing them considerable stress, indicating that the game would not return for a long time, if ever.
  • Follow the Leader:
    • The game's success and impact on the internet led to multiple different games in the "Climb objects floating in the air until you reach the top" genre releasing, such as Dumb Ways to Climb
    • After the game got delisted from Steam, a game with the exact same title developed by MoreMoto Games appeared on Steam on October 3d, 2023. It's an online multiplayer parcour game that seems to take inspiration from classic Roblox obbies. Needless to say, it only received 113 reviews, 8% of which were positive. Similarly, a lot of fake sequels such as Only Up 2 and Only Up Rising exist on Steam.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: As per the creator's request, the game was delisted from Steam as of September 2023, making it no longer available to purchase, though it still exists in the libraries for those who already had it.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: Before the game was permanently delisted in September 2023, the game was briefly pulled from sale for a day in June after it was accused of stealing from various copyright violations, including a 3D model of a giant girl that SCKR took to resolving with the individual creator privately and amicably. The model, as well as many other potentially offending assets such as sound effects (sourced from games like Final Fantasy VII and Minecraft) were replaced.
