- Hostility on the Set: Character RCMP Corporal Eric Olsson was killed off in Season 3 due to a behind-the-scenes real-life relationship between Gerry Bean (Olsson) and Tina Keeper (RCMP Constable Michelle Kenedi). The tension was so awkward and difficult to work with that replacing the character seemed the best solution, which led to the adoption of Robert Bockstael (Corporal Brian Fletcher) into the main cast lineup.
- Real-Life Relative: Gordon Tootoosis (Albert Golo)'s niece, Willene Tootoosis, was able to get the part of character Lois Tenia because Gordon worked it out for her.
