Trivia / Norman Normal (1968)

• Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: The short often listed as a Merrie Melodies short, despite it officially being a “Cartoon Special” short.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: This was the fate of this short for the longest time with people having to rely on old Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite and overseas recordings due to this cartoon being rarely, if ever, broadcasted on other networks in the United States like Cartoon Network and Boomerang. The episode was finally released on the sixth Golden Collection DVD in 2008 (becoming the first cartoon from the entire Seven Arts era to be released on any form of home video) along with several other requested one-off cartoons that had yet to be released on home video and restored.
• What Could Have Been: Apparently, Paul Stookey was to collaborate with Warner Bros. Animation on additional cartoons starring Norman, along with similarly adapting Puff the Magic Dragon, but the studio's closure in 1969 due to Kinney National buying Warner Bros.-Seven Arts prevented this from happening.
