• Multi-Disc Work: The album spans two discs in its original LP configuration, though is short enough to fit on one CD.
• Rarely Performed Song: Prince attempted to retire the Title Track with his New Year's Day 2000 performance in Times Square, feeling that the copious references to the year 1999 made it too dated in the 21st century. He eventually relented in 2007, including the song in his Super Bowl XLI halftime performance that year and making it a staple of his live shows again after that.
