Trivia / Need for Speed (2015)

• Accent Depundent: There are several events with a "torque" pun in their names, such as "Talk the Torque", "Torque of the Town" and "Whatcha Torquing Bout" that only work if you have in mind that "torque" is pronounced TAWK (as in "talk") in British English. They don't work well with American or Canadian accents.
• Fake American: All of the player's friends in the 2015 reboot (Travis, Spike, Amy, Robyn, and Manu) were played by British actors putting on an American accent.
• In Memoriam: The game commemorates Mihai Alexandru Iancu, a Romanian guitarist for the metalcore band Goodbye to Gravity who also did QA testing for this game and Battlefield Hardline. He tragically died from a nightclub fire in Bucharest on October 30, 2015, 3 days before the game's release.
• The Other Darrin: Eddie and Melissa from Underground were played in said game by an unspecified actor^note (some online sources give his actor as Ignacio "Nacho" Aldeguer, but there's some conflicting info implying that Aldeguer might've been a voice actor that was part only of the European Spanish dub of Underground, not helped by Underground having both the English and European Spanish voice cast lumped into a single list) and Amy Walz, respectively. When they reappear in this game as part of Eddie's Challenge, their profile pictures show that they are clearly played by different actors.
