• Creator's Favorite Episode: Mark Turmell considers NFL Blitz 99 the favorite game of his career as a game designer, owing to the fine-tuning of its mechanics.
• Executive Meddling: As mentioned in the main page, pressure from the NFL's lobbyists and higher-ups led to the signature characteristics of the NFL Blitz games being toned down until the games were little different from their peers.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: None of the Midway Blitz games have ever been re-released, and likely won't for the foreseeable future. Not helping matters is that the rights to the series are split up between three different parties: Warner Bros. (owner of the Midway entries), Electronic Arts (current Blitz IP holder), and the NFL themselves (who have a partnership with EA that keeps their teams exclusive to Madden).
