• Creator Backlash: Notable for being so even before the episode aired. During the early days of MST3K, the writers were really excited about riffing this movie because they were delighted by the premise (that is, radar can solve any problem!). But they couldn't get ahold of the rights for the longest time. By the end of season 5, they finally got the rights, but when they actually watched the film numerous times during the writing process, they were puzzled why they wanted it for so long. Subverted in that the writers considered the short that was attached to it, "Last Clear Chance", to be one of their favorites.
